Efficiency Enhancement Suggestion: In-Line Field Editing with Auto-Save

I’d like to suggest a more efficient way to update individual contact fields, similar to the experience in Excel, while in gridview in People Search. Specifically, I propose enabling users to click directly into fields like email, phone number, job title, company, and LinkedIn profile and edit them in place—without having to open each individual profile.

This is not intended to be a bulk edit feature, which often lacks nuance and control. Rather, the goal is to streamline single-field updates across multiple entries, especially when updating multiple individuals data (like email addresses) from the same organization.

Additionally, it would be helpful if edits automatically saved without requiring an extra “Save” button click, which slows down workflow when making multiple quick updates.

This would significantly reduce the time and friction involved in keeping contact records up to date.
